Remain dry under water
Materio, an international expert in materials, reports that Zurich University has achieved a completely hydrophobic textile, impossible to wet even after having spent several months soaked in water.
Elected by the science community "the most hydrophobic material in the world", the secret of this textile is a surface treatment that deposits billions of polyester nanowires.
The result is amazing: the fabric remains dry even under water, because a layer of air is trapped firmly in the forest of nanowires. But this surface treatment does not alter the physical qualities of the textile base, touch, colour, reflection, texture, and it can be used interchangeably on wool, cotton or synthetic fibres.
What else can one ask for?
