Ski-Mojo, based in La Clusaz (France), offers a solution to reduce muscle fatigue and alleviate knee pain to once again enjoy skiing: an exoskeleton, attached to the legs much like a knee pad, which reduces the body's weight. A lightweight frame made of plastic rods containing a powerful spring that bears  1/3 of the body's weight and reduces pressure on the knees in the same proportions. It acts as a muscular support during the flexion-extension phases, delays fatigue and reduces joint pain while improving the ride and the stability of the skis. This discreet bionic knee brace can be worn under clothing, and thus becomes invisible.

The Ski-Mojo was invented in 1996 by Owen Eastwood, a British citizen who started skiing after turning fifty, who wanted to make the activity more physically accessible. The device was then comprehensively redesigned by Martin Hannaford before being launched in 2007, and awarded an ISPO Award in 2008 (an award given to the most innovative and promising products at the winter sports business trade show in Munich).

Tested by sports doctors, orthopaedic surgeons, physiotherapists, rheumatologists, former professional skiers, professional mountaineers and many ski and snowboard enthusiasts, the ski-mojo seems to have garnered general agreement!
